In support of active groups of students and their small industries, Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark has held numerous educational courses and workshops in order to enhance the quality of their products and create a market place for them in domestic as well as international exhibitions.
Five active student groups that are recognized as geopark partners are as follows:
First Group
KASHEF Plan
Students from Dulab, Guri, Deyrestan and Borkeh Khalaf villages
Main Objective
Producing ‘Namakdan Candles’, one of the innovations of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark as a geoproduct, created to exihibit the beauties of Namakdan Cave Geosite, contributing to conserving the national and international heritage and preventing its degradation
Namakdan Candles were well-received internationally.

Second Group
MANA Plan
Andisheh Khalij-e-Fars Community Mental Health Partners
Main Objective
An empowerment and entrepreneurship project initialized by adolescent girls with the intention of creating job opportunities through selling their handicrafts

Third Group
Shushi Dolls
A workshop Established in 2015 with the participation of 10 students from Salakh village and the leadership of Mr. Morshed Salakh Nejad
Main Objective
Introducing and safeguarding the island’s customs, traditions and rituals through the production of local traditional dolls known as ‘Dokhtolouk’

Since 2005, girls from Borkeh khalaf village have been producing Dokhtolouk dolls with their mothers in the women’s cooperative established in the village
