Commemoration Ceremony for the Late Darvish Sharifi, Father of Iran's Hara Forests, to Be Held in Soheili Village

Majid Salaghi, a member of the Islamic Council of Soheili Village, announced that a commemorative ceremony honouring the memory of the late Darvish Sharifi, widely known as the Father of Iran's Hara Forests, will be held on 6 November at Soheili Tourism Jetty in the heart of Hara Forest.
He added that, in recognition of Mr Sharifi's sincere and lifelong dedication to safeguarding this unique natural heritage, two thousand Hara saplings will be planted during the ceremony to ensure that his legacy continues to flourish within the forest he devoted his life to protecting.
Salaghi further noted that the late Darvish Sharifi dedicated many years to the conservation of Hara Forests and the protection of the natural environment. His vision and commitment to environmental stewardship will continue to inspire future generations in preserving nature.
He also stated that the story of the "Father of Iran's Hara Forests" will be shared with children as an example of devotion to nature conservation, recalling the life of a man who contributed to the revitalization of Hara Forests through the planting of millions of saplings.
