Regional Geoparks Networks

The Global Geoparks Network promotes networking on a regional basis.

For Global Geoparks in Asia – Pacific the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network (APGN) acts as the Regional Network of the GGN.

For Global Geoparks in Europe, the European Geoparks Network (EGN) acts as the Regional Network of the GGN.

For Global Geoparks in Latin America and Caribbean, the Latin American and Caribbean Geoparks Network acts as the as the Regional Network of the GGN.

The Asia - Pacific Geoparks Network was established in 2007 with the support of UNESCO. Nowadays the network includes 78 Geoparks across 10 countries.
This network provides to all geoparks members a work platform with common strategies for the conservation and the promotion of geological heritage among all territories through sustainable development.
