The director of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization of Qeshm Free Zone Area announced the Qeshm Boom event hosted by Sar Rig village.

According to the public relations and international affairs of the Qeshm Free Zone Area, referring to the 6th Qeshm Boom event on Friday, December 8, 2023, Ebrahim Rostam Gourani said that Sar Rig village is one of the coastal villages, where most people are engaged in fishing and personal business.

He added that according to other programs of Qeshm Boom, cleaning the beach by children to promote environmental knowledge, transferring ecological culture, and chatting with sailors (Salefeh) to preserve oral history and maritime knowledge was done before noon on Friday.

Mr. Gourni continued that among the other programs of this event, we can mention the painting competition, the local game of Larti, the local music performance of Liwa and Azwa, playing the Oud, playing the Jofti (a kind of local flute), and the puppet show, which was performed on Friday evening with the enthusiastic participation of the people of Qeshm Island.

The director of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization of Qeshm Free Zone Area also announced the visit plans of the Technical and Civil Deputy and Cultural, Social, and Tourism Deputy to create the basic infrastructure of tourism facilities and services for this event and emphasized that as well as holding an empowerment workshop for women, visiting the village area and the natural tourism potential spots such as Charbeh gorge, element of Sobi Si Boom, and Sar Rig Oud House were at this plan.
