According to Qeshm Free Zone Media Centre, local communities gathered in Zeynabi Village to mark the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples by sharing experiences, memories and traditional knowledge passed down through generations.

Dr Ebrahim Rostam Gurani, Director of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark, announced that the commemoration ceremony for the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples will be held on Monday, 11 August 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Pasargad School Conference Hall in Zeynabi Village.

By a decree issued by Adel Peighami, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Dr Ebrahim Rostam Gurani has been appointed Director of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark. The decree also expressed appreciation to Sajjad Eshgarf for his dedication and valuable service during his tenure in the role.
