Alireza Amri Kazemi, Director of Qeshm Island UGGp the announced that the visiting of Geopark museum by children and holding educational programs at the educational center in the west island (Doulanb village educational center) are the most important activities for international children's day occasion.
The Memorandum of Understanding between Qeshm Island UGGp and Qeshm Island Public Libraries was signed in the presence of Alireza Amri Kazemi, Director of Qeshm Island UGGp and Amineh Daryanvard, Director General of Hormozgan Public Libraries.
The director of Qeshm Island UGGp announced the total number of visitors to the geosites in the first eight months of the year as 72918. Stars valley with 33500 visitors is the most attractive geosite for tourists.
The head of the Cultural Heritage Office of the Qeshm Free Zone Organization, during a speech at the Qeshm Island UGGp Museum, discussed the philosophy and principles of the names of Qeshm Island and the reasons for naming them in historical travelogues was explained. He concluded that this diversity about these name is due to the occurrence of successive historical events in this part of the Persian Gulf.

Competition with the clean earth theme (including painting, clip making, postal card making and crafts) was held for the member of western educational center and the student of western part of Qeshm Island UGGp. Finally 17 student were selected as winner of different categories and received their gifts.
The encyclopedia of Children and adolescents is the first general encyclopedia written in Persian for children and adolescents, which has prepared with scientific perspective and based on Iranian culture. The encyclopedia has been prepared for 10-16 age group by 250 experts in various fields.
