A one-day workshop on "Natural Disaster Reduction" was held to raise public awareness of natural disaster prevention and exposure.

According to the Public Relations of Qeshm Free Zone Area, Alireza Amri Kazemi mentioned this news and said: One of the goals set by UNESCO's Global Geoparks Network for Geoparks is to raise awareness of climate change and natural disasters as well as monitoring these phenomena to formulate natural disaster risk reduction strategies for local communities.

He added: One of the indicators of development is the preparation's level of different communities to prevent and deal with natural disasters and reduce its consequences and maintain the safety of citizens, and this can be achieved by raising the level of awareness along with setting the right laws.
