The Deputy Head of Tourism and Accommodation Committee of Qeshm Travel Services Headquarters announced a 50 per cent increase in visitor numbers to Qeshm Geopark Museum during the first five days of the Persian New Year compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Sarzur Zuma tree planting event was held in the historic port of Guran by the Guran Rural Development Cooperative Company. Also, the Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark management, Department of Environment, Deputy of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Qeshm Free Zone Area, and tourism and environmental activists participated in this event.
The cultural, social, and tourism deputy of the Qeshm Free Zone Area considered that the best way to host tourists during the Nowruz days is to use the local knowledge and the support of the local community.
The director of the Qeshm Global Geopark said that a meeting of researchers and writers from Qeshm Island took place on National Research Day to introduce active researchers and new works and publications.
On the sideline of the unveiling ceremony of registering the Namakdan salt cave geosite as one of the top 100 geological sites in the world, the book “Qeshm, the land of beauties” written by Amin Ebrahimi Darakoyie was also unveiled.
The CEO of the Qeshm Free Zone Area presented the name of the Namakdan salt cave as one of the top 100 geological sites in the world at the unveiling ceremony. It is everyone's responsibility to sustain and promote the tourism capabilities of Qeshm Island.
