Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark Partners Network launched its thematic working groups with the establishment of the Media Partners Network.

Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark Partners Network launched its thematic working groups with the establishment of the Media Partners Network.

According to Sajjad Eshgarf, Director of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark, UNESCO Global Geoparks draw on the capacities of business stakeholders as key partners in showcasing the strengths and values of geoparks. He added that, through this initiative, Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark became the first UNESCO Global Geopark to establish a formal organisational structure for its partners named Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark Partners Network.

He further explained that the Network provides a platform for collaboration among its members and with the Geopark, creating shared benefits for all parties. Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark Partners Network will operate through several working groups, one of which is the Media and News Working Group, which aims to strengthen recognition of the Geopark's global brand and promote it nationally and internationally.
