The collaboration agreement between Qeshm Island UGGp and Earth Science Research Institute has been signed.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Qeshm Island UGGp, UNESCO Chair in Coastal Geological Hazards and Earth Science Research Institute.


According to the public relations and international affairs of the Qeshm Free Zone Area, Sajad Eshgarf, the director of Qeshm Island UGGp, announced the signing of this memorandum will increase the joint research cooperation between the parties in the field of geopark and geological hazards, climate changes, and the evolution and development of the Iranian Plateau civilization field.

He continued that according to this memorandum, the parties agreed on exchanging information and knowledge, developing interdisciplinary research, planning and organizing joint research projects, conferences, seminars, festivals, and short-term training courses, and the joint publication of research materials.

The director of Qeshm Island UGGp added that the promotion and development of scientific cooperation and participation in international programs in geoscience and geological hazards are also among the provisions of this memorandum.

According to this report, considering the importance of research and technology cooperation among research centers and international organizations for the active participation of researchers in science and technology, Qeshm Island UGGp, the UNESCO Chair in Coastal Geological Hazards, and the Research Institute of Earth Sciences, signed a memorandum on research and technology cooperation.

It should be noted that Raziye Lak, the head of the Research Institute of Earth Sciences, Sajjad Eshgarf, the director of Qeshm Island UGGp, and Hamid Nazari, the head of the UNESCO Chair in Coastal Geological Hazards, signed this memorandum.
