Geopark

Geopark is an ingenious and invaluable innovation promoted by the UNESCO Earth Sciences section, seeking local communities’s partnership and collaboration in sustainable Earth management and utilization. Local communities’s participation and cooperation in protection and conservation of geological, natural and cultural heritage is an effective solution that follows the introduction of the valuable heritage existing in the geopark’s territory to people and awareness of their fundamental role in improvement of their living conditions.
