According to the public relations and international affairs of the Qeshm Free Zone Area, announcing this news, Sajad Eshgarf said that in this educational workshop, brief explanations were given about the importance of Earth protection and activities that students and children can do as Earth lovers.

He continued this program was held jointly and incorporated with Qeshm Island UGGp and the Education Department to better introduce the goals and concepts of the Geopark to the students of Qeshm Island.

In the end, the director of Qeshm Island UGGp noted that education, promotion, and empowerment of students, children, and teenagers to discover and train talents and supporting active groups in the development and protection of the Geopark is one of the programs of the Qeshm Island UGGp.

According to this report, Qeshm Island UGGp is the first geopark in the Middle East to become a member of the global network of geoparks supported by UNESCO since 2006. It has been recognized as a center for developing regional geoparks and engaging in remarkable activities.
