The introduction of Qeshm Global Geopark as the regional development pivot of UNESCO Global Geoparks in Turkey

The director of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark announced the introduction of this geopark as the pivot and regional development center of UNESCO Global Geopark in two international workshops on Goepark management and development in Turkey.

According to the public relations and international affairs of the Qeshm Free Zone Area, Sajjad Eshgarf stated that Alireza Amrikazemi attended these workshops as the scientific and international coordinator of the Qeshm Global Geopark, as well as a member of the World Council and the international evaluator of UNESCO Global Geoparks.

He continued that these workshops were held and focused on transferring different experiences with the participation of experts and specialists from countries such as France, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Participants from Turkey.

In the end, Mr. Eshgarf stated that, in this event, Qeshm Global Geopark was greeted by the participants and organizers of these international educational workshops due to its history and successful experiences, especially in the field of participation and support of the local community.
