Conclusion of the 11th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference in Chile; Portugal Selected as the Next Host

According to Qeshm Free Zone Media Centre, the closing ceremony of the 11th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference was held in the presence of Chilean officials and senior representatives of the Global Geoparks Network. During the ceremony, Portugal was officially announced as the host of the 12th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference.

غرفه ژئوپارک جهانی قشم در یازدهمین کنفرانس ژئوپارک‌های جهانی یونسکو، با حضور مدیران ارشد یونسکو و رؤسای ژئوپارک‌های برجسته جهان، به نمادی از گسترش تعاملات میان فرهنگی و دیپلماسی علمی و فرهنگی ایران بدل شد؛ حضوری که ظرفیت‌های زمین‌شناختی و فرهنگی جزیره را معرفی کرده و جایگاه کشورمان را در عرصه تعاملات بین‌المللی ارتقا می بخشد.
