On the 201st session of UNESCO geo-parks held in Paris today, on May 4, the title of UNESCO global geo-park was granted to Qeshm Island

Qeshm Island earned the title of UNESCO Global Geo-park.

- Comarca Minera, Hidalgo UNESCO Global Geopark (Mexico)
- Keketuohai UNESCO Global Geopark (China)
- Las Loras UNESCO Global Geopark (Spain)
- Mixteca Alta, Oaxaca UNESCO Global Geopark (Mexico)

Currently there are 127 geo-parks that are located in 35 countries around the world.
