Qeshm Island's Cultural Identity at the Heart of the Persian Gulf

The Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Qeshm Free Zone Organization stated that the Persian Gulf is distinguished by the rich artistic and cultural traditions of the people of Qeshm Island, particularly its women, and by their deep-rooted cultural identity.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Adel Peighami made the remarks during a specialised event on the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on families, particularly women, and at the book launch ceremony for Qeshm Island's Indelible Heritage by Amin Ebrahimi Darkooei, held at Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark Museum.

Peighami noted that, along Iran's 2,300-kilometre southern coastline, Qeshm Island embodies the rich cultural identity and enduring civilisational heritage of the Persian Gulf.
