According to the public relations and international affairs of the Qeshm Free Zone Area, announcing this news, Sajad Eshgarf said that important topics covered in the educational workshop and experiential event included the study of the impact of microplastics on daily human life, the cycle of microplastics in cosmetics and health products, the absorption of heavy metals by plastics, and the presence of microplastics in the food chain.
According to Eshgarf, in this event, the members of the Green Island campaign presented experiences on the Plastic Free Thursdays, especially the activities of children in different villages of Qeshm Island.
Mr. Eshgarf also mentioned that, along with the Vice President of the Support and Development Deputy of the Education Department, they visited the cloth bag production workshop at Armaghan Exceptional School of Qeshm. This workshop was considered a successful experience for teenagers on Qeshm Island regarding environmental protection.
He announced that the Qeshm Island UGGp management fully supports collaborative programs for environmental protection and prevention of plastic pollution in nature. He noted that the production of cloth bags by Qeshm Island UGGp and their distribution in various programs and events, especially in the Green Table plan of Soheyli village, one of Iran's top rural tourism destinations, is a key initiative in which this management is involved.
