The geosite of Stars Valley is currently accessible for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The vice president of Cultural, Social, and Tourism Deputy of Qeshm Free Zone Area said that for the first time, the Stars Valley geosite of Qeshm Island UGGp became accessible for tourists who are deaf or hard of hearing during the Nowruz holidays.


According to the public relations and international affairs of the Qeshm Free Zone Area, announcing this news, Edris Ramuz stated this service was implemented for the first time to utilize fairly the capacities of Qeshm Island UGGp among the geosites of Iran.

He continued that for this purpose, brochures with special barcodes (QR codes) have been designed so that deaf and hard-of-hearing tourists have access to digital content produced with sign language by scanning these barcodes. He mentioned that the content appropriate for the Stars Valley geosite, which is one of the most beautiful and frequently visited geosites of Qeshm Island UGGp, has been prepared.

 

The vice president of Cultural, Social, and Tourism of Qeshm Free Zone Area added that this project was implemented with the cooperation of Qeshm Island UGGp Management, the National Network of the Deaf of Iran, and financial support of Irman Boutique Hotel as a member of Assistants Network of Qeshm Island UGGp.

In the end, he added that this service was implemented for the first time to utilize fairly and pursue the sustainable development of the capacities of Qeshm Island UGGp among the geosites of Iran.

According to this report, Accessible Tourism is one of the new concepts of sustainable development in the tourism industry. Based on that, all members of the society can use tourism capacities without any restrictions, regardless of age, race, or physical and mental disabilities.
