Zirang Geosite

Zirang geosite is located in the Markazi District of Qeshm Island near Zirang village. Geologically, this area is located in the northeastern part of the Sousa anticline and on the deposits of the Agha Jari Formation. The most important visible structure in this geosite is the flaser structures that represent the intertidal environment during sediment formation.
