Qeshm Island
UNESCO Global Geopark
Yesterday on May 18, 2013, Qeshm Island Global Geopark manager, Mr.Zobeiri, left Iran to the destination of Germany.
He is to visit the Bergsrtrasse Global Geopark and to start cooperation between Qeshm and European Geoparks.
The Global Geopark Bergstrasse-Odenwald is situated in the southwest of the State of Hesse (Federal Republic of Germany). The Geopark territory takes in approximately 3500 km², between the Rhine valley in the west and the Main valley in the east. The Geopark territory includes a unique sequence of more than 500 million years of eventful Global history in the centre of Europe
