Netherland’s Minister of Infrastructure and Environment, Melanie Schultz van Haegen visits Valley of Stars and Naaz Island.

Ms. Melanie Schultz van Haegen, Netherland’s Minister of Infrastructure and Environment arrived at Qeshm via Dargahan Pier and this evening, October 26^th 2016, and was warmly welcomed by governor and state authorities of free zone organization of Qeshm.

Melanie Schultz van Haegen and her entourage have come to the island to talk about the infrastructure of Qeshm Island and visited several sites including Suza pier, Naaz Island, Valley of Stars.

The purpose of this visit is to increase cooperation between two countries of Iran and the Netherlands in energy, oil and gas, fishing, and development of ports.

A special meeting was held in geo-park of Qeshm in the Valley of Stars where locals and geo-park specialists participate and guests were served with local dishes of the island.

Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Environment mentioned that Qeshm is one of the most beautiful islands and a suitable area for investment. She added that tourist attractions such as different piers, Naaz Island, Valley of Stars, Portuguese Castle etc. show that this island has the potential for political and trade development and the Netherlands is willing to be a part of it.

Ms. Melanie Schultz van Haegen said “Although there was little time to visit the historical, environmental and tourist attractions of Qeshm Island and its infrastructure, there will be extensive opportunities in the near future for investors to begin a new period relation of the two countries in the area.

Netherland’s Minister of Infrastructure and Environment arrived at Dargahan Pier of Qeshm Island on Wednesday, October 26^th, and after visiting Naaz Island, Valley of Stars, Portuguese Castle, left the island via Shahid Zakeri Pier to visit Bandar Abbas.
