Celebration Marks the Selection of Soheili Village as a Best Tourism Village

The selection of Soheili Village as one of the world's leading tourism villages was celebrated across Qeshm Island with great enthusiasm. The occasion also brought together a number of national and local officials, who visited the village to explore its potential, traditions and cultural assets.

During the ceremony, Dr Abdolkarim Hosseinzadeh, Vice President for Rural Development and Disadvantaged Areas, the Chief Executive Officer of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, the Governor of Hormozgan Province, members of Parliament for Hormozgan, and managers from Qeshm Free Zone and Qeshm County were present. While engaging with local residents, they also visited various sections of the handicrafts exhibition, displays of local cuisine, and collections of cultural and historical photographs.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the talents and capabilities of Soheili village residents along with its cultural traditions and tourism potential and further highlighted the role of community participation in sustainable tourism development. The active involvement of local people and the warm reception extended to officials also presented a vivid reflection of the historical and cultural identity of Qeshm Island and its significance at both national and international levels.
