The director of Qeshm Island UGGp said that on World Education Day, a training workshop was held to introduce the concepts of the geopark and its integration with handmade structures and artistic productions of the conservatories students of the central part of Qeshm Island.

According to the public relations and international affairs of the Qeshm Free Zone Area, announcing this news, Sajad Eshgarf said that the cooperation of Qeshm Island UGGp with schools and educational centers to introduce and apply geopark concepts to produce creative products and conserving the natural potential and intangible heritage of Qeshm Island was the purpose of holding this workshop.

The director of Qeshm Island UGGp emphasized the importance of targeted education in schools and conservatoires of Qeshm Island and added that Kosar Al-Nabi Conservatoire in Kusheh village is one of the most important educational centers in the central region of Qeshm Island and female students from 18 villages study there. With the creative idea of the Teacher and Students in the field of Child Education, they make a variety of products, such as Story-telling aprons, by using the concepts of geopark and geological phenomena of Qeshm Island, which can lead to innovative products to introduce valuable natural phenomena and protect them.

The director of Qeshm Island UGGp noted that in addition to creating job opportunities and improving the local community’s income, the creative works of students play a significant role in promoting the geopark concepts, training cultural subjects related to various aspects of heritage for the future generation of Qeshm Island.
