Director of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark announced the awarded of the title of the best museums of the country by the Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark Museum and Guran Museum Park in 2019.

According to Public Relations and International Affairs of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Alireza Amrikazemi, on the occasion of the International Museum Day, said: Qeshm Global Geopark Museum and Museum Park of Sailing and Longevity of Guran Village in the ceremony of introducing the best museums of the year 97 have become the country's top museum in the index of creativity and innovation.

He continued: At this ceremony, the top museums of the country were divided into four groups: private, small state, medium state, and large state.

According to Amrikazemi, Museum Park of Sailing and Longevity of Guran Village, with the support of Qeshm Global Geopark, and with the efforts of the hard-working people of the Guran Village, and the cooperation of the Islamic Council of this village, was introduced to UNESCO as one of Cultural Geosites of Geopark.

Director of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark added: "This museum is still in development and completion, and the Guran Rural Cooperative Company is responsible for managing it on behalf of Qeshm Global Geopark.

It is worth mentioning that at this ceremony of introducing the top museums of 1397, which was held on May 18 at the Academy of Arts of the capital, Ali Asghar Moonesan, head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Sayyed Ahmad Tabataba'i, the head of the ICOM of Iran, and a group of officials and authorities of this field were present.
